These are the same Terms of Use shown to signed-in members at www.mountainviewhuntclub.com/legal/terms, published here so anyone can read them without an account. Both copies carry the same version number.

These Terms of Use govern the Mountain View Hunt Club member portal at www.mountainviewhuntclub.com, the club telephone lines (240) 301-1818 and toll-free (866) 489-1982, and the text, voice, and email services offered with them. By creating an account or using the club line, you agree to these terms.

1. Membership and accounts

• The portal is for members and approved applicants. The Club does not permit guests. Accounts are personal and must not be shared.
• You must provide accurate contact information and keep it current so the Club can reach you in an emergency.
• Club officers may suspend access for unpaid dues, safety violations, or breach of club rules.

2. Safety and property rules

• Every hunter must check in before hunting and check out when leaving the property.
• All Maryland Department of Natural Resources laws, seasons, and bag limits apply, along with club rules including required treestand safety harnesses and the club's stand-distance and firearm-safety rules.
• Harvests must be reported as required by the Club and by Maryland DNR.

3. Text messaging terms

You consent to receive text messages from Mountain View Hunt Club only by actively checking the separate, unchecked SMS consent box on the account sign-up form or by texting START to (240) 301-1818. Providing a mobile number, accepting these Terms, or submitting a membership application does not by itself provide SMS consent. Messages include one-time login verification codes, hunt check-in and check-out confirmations, gate access codes, dues reminders, and safety, weather, and emergency alerts.

• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to unsubscribe from all texts from that number at any time. After the required opt-out confirmation, no further texts are sent unless you reply START.
• Reply HELP for help.

• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Consent to text messaging is not a condition of membership.
• Mobile information and messaging consent are not shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our Privacy Policy.

Call recording. Maryland requires the consent of everyone taking part before a private conversation is recorded (Md. Code, Courts & Judicial Proceedings § 10-402). Calls to and from the club lines (240) 301-1818 and toll-free (866) 489-1982 are announced as recorded before recording begins, and continuing the call is your consent. Hang up and use the portal, text, or email if you prefer not to be recorded.

4. Acceptable use

• Do not misuse the club line, submit false check-ins, harvest reports, or emergency alerts, or attempt to access another member's records.
• Content you upload (photos, reports, notes) must be your own and must not violate the law or another person's rights.
• Member contact details, maps, stand locations, and gate codes are confidential and must not be shared outside the Club.

5. Assumption of risk

Hunting and related activities carry inherent risks of injury or death. Members and guests accept those risks and must sign the Club's waivers and agreements before entering the property. The portal does not replace those documents.

6. Availability and liability

The portal and club line are provided as-is. The Club does not guarantee uninterrupted service and is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the portal, its maps, forecasts, or messaging features. Never rely on the portal alone in an emergency — call 911.

7. Automated tools, season information, and maps

Parts of the portal use automated (AI) assistance — reading a photographed hunting licence or ID at sign-up, suggesting tags on trail-camera photos, and answering questions about club documents. These tools can be wrong, make no membership decisions, and never sign anything for you; check what they fill in.

Season dates, bag limits, shooting hours, regulation summaries, maps, stand locations, and property boundaries in the portal are a club convenience, not an official source. The Maryland Guide to Hunting & Trapping and the published COMAR regulations control, and you must confirm current law with the Maryland Department of Natural Resources before you hunt.

8. Changes

The Club may update these terms. Continued use of the portal after an update means you accept the revised terms.
